Mike Stone – Managing Director
Mike has 16 years of industry experience working with top brands such as American Golf, Mike has successfully led large teams across the UK. More recently providing strategic consultation to driving range operators, helping them elevate their business operations.
Steve Pockneall – Founder
Steve owns and operates multiple golf venues, members-owned courses and driving ranges.
Andy Weeks – Founder
Andy, the owner of Hi Nets, is a prominent figure in the golf industry, specialising in designing, supplying, and installing top-quality golf netting solutions worldwide, particularly for driving ranges.
Michael Phillips – Chairman
Mike has a strong track record of maximising shareholder value as a CEO and as a non-executive director. Mike is the former Strategic Development Director of Gresham House plc, the specialist Asset Manager. He founded iimia Investment Group plc (now Premier Miton Group plc) and Christows Ltd (now part of Investec’s retail operations) in the investment and fund management sector and more recently Zestec Asset Management Ltd which has now been acquired by Fern Trading Ltd a large client of Octopus. Mike is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment.
Peter Handscomb – FCA
Peter is an angel investor and non-executive advisor to entrepreneurial start-ups and early-stage businesses. After qualifying as a Chartered Accountant with KPMG in London, Peter moved on to work as the finance lead in several SMEs, ultimately participating in an MBO, later followed by a successful exit. Now semi-retired, Peter enjoys contributing in the early stages of new ventures in support of the executive team.
